Right now I do freelance IT work, a combination of web design, some digital marketing and on the side I also drive Uber. I like the flexibility that freelancing provides in terms of choosing the clients and types of projects I want to work on.

I would say one of the biggest challenges is the unpredictability. You could have a number of clients for a few weeks, but you don’t know what’s going to come in the next month or two months down the road. So you really just have to take it week by week, month by month.

A lot of banks, when they offer their products, tend to be biased and prefer people who are permanent workers. Right now I think the gig economy is growing and there are a lot more people who are freelancers, so it’s definitely a challenge.
