PUBLISHED BY Sally Pau / October 15, 2021

Over the past year, we have worked to build a world-class, all-in-one financial app to help gig workers, like yourself, understand your gig income and access money when you need it. As we have been launching new features to lay the groundwork in establishing Moves as the home of your gig business, we have been working on something bigger.

Since launching, we’ve talked to thousands of gig workers across the country. We’ve heard you talk about flexibility and your pursuit of independence in the gig economy, but we’ve also heard what isn’t working and we’re here to fix that.

Introducing: The Moves Collective

You helped build the gig economy, you’ve been running it, and now it’s time you owned it.

With The Moves Collective, we’re enabling gig workers to earn free shares* in the publicly traded gig companies they earn with. Together, we’re building a voice louder than ever. A voice that can’t be ignored. One that can make a difference in the lives of millions of gig workers across America.

By coming together as shareholders, we aren’t just individual workers anymore. We’re a group of owners. The more stock you earn*, the stronger our voice collectively becomes, and together, we can help drive the future of the gig economy.

These are the number of shares held as of October 15, 2021, and the number of shares held is updated monthly.

Making Every Gig Worker a Shareholder

The Moves Collective is currently an invite-only program. We’ll be rolling out invites throughout the rest of the year, inviting gig workers to start claiming their share and join us in moving the gig economy in favor of its workers.

Once invited, a member can start completing tasks that help them better manage their money. Upon completion of each task, they can accumulate free fractional shares* of the companies they earn income on that our program supports. The exact stock and amount can differ between each task completed and will be provided by our partner, Bumped Financial.

As millions of gig workers become shareholders, Moves in parallel will propose proxy material submissions at the annual general meeting of the major platforms. We will ensure that the interests of gig workers are heard, and ultimately voted on.

Together, we can strive to move the gig economy in favor of workers.
